Easter Lily

Hi there!  It's Wednesday...and I'm finally posting another project using Courtney Fowler's Easter Lily stamp set.  This one was inspired by that gorgeous ribbon (from my stash...no ideas on the brand) and I ran with the colors.  Not my normal, huh?  I colored the image with Copics to get that graduated shading - it reminds me of the daylillies that grew along the side of the house where I grew up:)  So have you gone over to Sweet 'n Sassy  to order this set for yourself?  What are you waiting for?!?  Thanks so much for stopping by!

CBC Guest Designer Week #2

  Hi there!  Here's my second attempt at doing Courtney's Easter Lily stamp set justice:)  This week I wanted to highlight the versatility of the lily image.  It's not just for focal pieces!  I used white hybrid ink on black stock to create the patterned paper.  I just can't seem to stay away from the bling lately so I colored the centers with a pink Spica glitter marker.  And check it out - I rounded the corners.  Have you noticed how corner rounding is making a bit of a comeback lately?  If only I'd stopped at corner rounding...with all of the Girl Scout cookies laying around at home and at work recently I've added some waistline rounding as well!  But I digress...the sentiment is just one of many Courtney included in the set and it's one of my favorites.  So get on over to Sweet 'n Sassy  and order this set for yourself!  And thanks so much for stopping by to visit me:)  I'll be back later with the next Loonie Stampers Challenge!

Introducing...Me! (LOL)

  Hi there!  Can you believe that my friend Courtney  asked me to be a guest designer for her?!?  Really, we need to question that girl's judgement!!  Seriously, though, I am very honored that she would ask me to help showcase her beautiful new stamp set, Easter Lily.  I've had lots of time to play with this set and I can attest to its versatility.  Easter, Mother's Day, spring...Courtney even included a sympathy sentiment!  Go check it out and buy it here  at Sweet 'n Sassy.  (And if you've never purchased from SNS before, let me assure you that the customer service is fan-tas-tic!) 

As for this card, I wanted so badly to do Courtney proud.  I colored the main image with Copics and then highlighted the darker pink with a pink Spica glitter marker.  The background cardstock was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then the edges sponged with white ink.  Most everything else is pretty obvious:)  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'll have a guest designer post every Friday this month...and my regular Loonie Stamper's post will be up later today.  Can you believe I'm going to be late to post for my own Loonie week?  Here's a hint of what's to come:  I picked butterflies for the theme!
