Groom's Shower

  Hello!  Hope you're doing well.  All's quiet around here just now.  At work today we had a surprise wedding shower for a guy that's getting married on Saturday.   I was asked to make the card and after much thought I decided to use humor and created a ball and chain.  And I was able to use some of my Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers!  They've been sitting around a while and it bugged me that I hadn't used them.  The base is going gray, the main layer is basic gray, and I distressed the edges because...well...I couldn't come up with anything else!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Polka Blossom

Is there anything happier than polka dots?  I feel like this is going to be my next big thing.  Maybe even bigger than my obsession with Primas.  Maybe.  I bought Papertrey's  new polka dot stamp set, too.  I'm just waiting for inspiration to strike.
I did spend a couple of hours playing with my new Nestabilities last night but I didn't end up with anything blog-worthy (watch out...perfectionist at work).  Anyhow, for this card I wanted to carry the dot theme throughout the entire design.  The paper is SU!, the center of the Heidi Swapp blossom layers is SU! cardstock that was embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder, and the background was created using the tone-on-tone technique and a really dusty, old SU! set called Itty Bitty Backgrounds.  I used the speckle-ish one...it counts as dots!

Bella Birthday

I'm in a birthday mood I guess!  I spent a few hours in my craft room today and the bulk of the time was spent organizing my scraps and mounting my bellas onto EZ Mount cling foam.  I bought my cling foam a while back at eP and am only now getting around to putting it to use.  I really like it as it allows me to easily use my bellas with my acrylic blocks.  I highly recommend getting some for your bellas/unmounted rubber stamps though I admit it took a bit of time to cut them all out!
As far as this card goes, I used a little of everything - a bella, a Papertrey sentiment, a SU! background stamp and designer paper...even a Heidi Swapp blossom!  I went against my normal inclination to watercolor and instead used my SU! markers to color Bella.  (I did use pencils and a glaze pen for her face and smile.)  I hope you find it as happy as I do.
