Hi there:) Hope you're doing well. It's early in the morning as I type this and I'm still not certain what's going on around here. I think everything is fine...90% certain, anyway. I'm guessing that Deuce, our Italian Greyhound, merely had a bad dream and scared himself. That's the only explanation that makes sense. All I know for sure is that the husband and I were awakened at the same time because Deuce was in distress. He was so worked up that he couldn't even stand up on his own. But now he seems perfectly fine, running around, playing, burying a bone...and the husband and I are left staring at each other while a really bad 'B' movie plays on the tv. Hi there:) Hope you're doing well...I'm just counting down until the end of the school year! One of the sure signs of summer is when I create the annual thank you card for our department's parent volunteer. She's fabulous (she'd have to be to actually volunteer to help our crazy bunch) and she's never without her cup of coffee. I pulled an old stamp set from my stash and some burlap ribbon and then called it a morning. I still have to get to work, after all! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there:) I spent some time yesterday morning doing what we're supposed to do on Memorial Day...and my mind kept going back to one of my co-workers who is a Gold Star Mother. She lost her son to the war in Iraq five years ago. I never met him in person but because of all the stories she's shared I feel like I know Stephen a little bit. And so I did what I do and I made a card to express myself.
Check out the tag...I made it. Why buy them when it takes only a minute to put one together? I used my SU ticket punch on the corners of the cream stock and a 5/8" circle punch for the chocolate cardstock reinforcer. After I secured it to my tag I used a 1/4" circle punch (a standard one-hole punch) to create the opening for the ribbon. Done! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there! Hope you're doing well. I see light at the end of the tunnel at work...I sent one of our graduation publications to the printer yesterday, and I hope to get the other out the door tomorrow. I feel like a kid with two term papers!!! Anyhow, I did manage to take the time to play and this card was one of the things I made. It uses the free anniversary set from PTI...how can I not like something that's free?!?
And tonight is the finale for American Idol...I'm a Lee fan. Have been since the top 24 days. Probably would have liked him during Hollywood week if I'd watched:) My fingers are crossed that tonight is exciting, though nothing (for me) can compare to the excitement and ridiculous infatuation I had for David Cook and that finale. Hi there:) Hope you're doing well...things are still fine around here. Just trying to live in the moment...not something I do with much skill! The weekend was spent with family again; I feel like a sponge trying to capture and stockpile moments in my mind so that I can wrap myself in them whenever I might need to. I think I mentioned that my sister (the mom of the twins) and her family are relocating to Florida. Ugh! Yes, I'm one of those people that would like to keep every family member restricted to living within five miles of my home. Anyhow, my mind has been occupied with the coming change and I've not done much online living lately. I do apologize about the state of my email account...I am afraid to look at it! But I will. Hi there:) Spring Break is now over...and I had such a great time I can't help but be happy. I saw friends or family members almost every single day. And a lot of the time was spent with the nieces and nephews...how could I not enjoy that!?! I'll share pictures later this week...they are just too cute. And would you believe that I didn't really do much crafting until yesterday? It worked out, though, because I had one of those nights where I actually liked everything I made. I know! Unusual. Hi there! It's Good Friday, it's time for the next LSC, and it's time for me to have a day off! As you can tell by this 'late' post, I slept in today. What is it about rolling over in bed on a weekday and seeing the clock read something later than 5:30am that makes me smile so much?!? Anyhow, this week was Jewels' pick and so I thought it only fitting to use some more of the cute flowers that she crocheted for me. And I finally used that Papertrey impression plate!
I have a feeling my crafting slump may be over. Hooray for Spring Break!

Hi there! Hope you're doing well. Not much to report here; I've been a little busy with various things and haven't spent much time in my craft room. And no, I've not touched my Kindle, either!!! To be honest, I'm just looking forward to spring break. That's when things will wind down. I can't wait to spend a morning cleaning up my crafting space. It's become a horrific mess...and I can't create in the middle of a mess! But guess what I did do this past weekend? I went to a bead show for a few hours. With a little luck and practice I just might get into making a little jewelry for myself. I bought a small pile of supplies: some pewter pieces, some silver pieces...and a small selection of beads in the aqua mist and spring moss color families. We'll see. For now, it's three days and counting until break. Thanks so much for stopping by!
