Hi there! Ever have a Monday that felt like it was a week long? Phew...I can't believe it's only Tuesday!!! Right now I'm imagining what it would be like to be on a luxurious Caribbean cruise. I've never cruised, and the husband isn't in favor of it (his OCD kicks into high gear and he visibly shudders as he pronounces them 'floating germ bowls') but I really, really think I'd be a fab cruise person. *Sigh* I'd be a fab cruise person until it came to the buffets! And the drinks with umbrellas. How cute are they?!? I think I gained a pound just thinking about them. (Don't tell my doctor because I lost 6lbs. last month and she's really, really proud of me.) Hi there! Happy Monday to you. Hope you had a good weekend...we did. I read my book for book club (yep...I'm in a club now...I can't wait to see if any of the other ladies use a Kindle) and my Papertrey order arrived. As you can see by this card, I ordered the large scallop die. I have to tell you something...I'm surprised at how thin and flexible the Papertrey die is. And I don't mean happily surprised, either. I had hoped it would be sturdy like Spellbinders dies, but it's not. Something to think about in case you were considering ordering one for yourself. But check out that faux suede ribbon! Hi there! If you read the same blogs I do, you've probably seen a lot of butterflies and epoxy stickers out in the blogosphere right now. I figure, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! I did do something a little different to my butterfly...I used my Copic markers and colored on the sweet blush cardstock, darkening the edges and the center a little bit. Then I jabbed at it but didn't actually pierce the edges with a stylus. Just to add interest. 'Cause I'm interesting like that! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there! Hope you weekend is going well:) I took some time this afternoon to play along with the latest Papertrey release challenge...this one is to design a floral embellishment and then make a card with it and make an additional sheet of the same embellies to give to a friend. I picked fabric flowers:) The timing of this challenge couldn't be better for me as I just had an order of gorgeous fabrics delivered yesterday. Fabrics with My Minds Eye's Bloom and Grow designs on them! While I'm super excited about all of Papertrey's new product releases, wouldn't it be really incredible if Papertrey were to license their designs for fabrics, too?!?! Think about it...wouldn't the recent pastel patterns make a beautiful baby quilt? Just a thought...Nichole...if you're reading this...
Anyhow, here's the sheet of other flower embellies I made:
All I did was use my small scalloped circle Nesties on the fabric and cut out the three smallest sizes. I layered them with a PTI button and then used linen thread to stitch everything together. Done! And I know just who I'm going to mail these to... Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there:) Hope you're doing well on this fine Wednesday. I'm just thankful that our electricity came back on! We were only without it for a couple of hours this morning, but with the bad weather I admit I was getting very nervous. It was a little funny, though, when it went out. It was early and we were still in bed and I was reading the husband the blizzard warning on weather.com. (Yes, we're expecting a blizzard from late morning through tonight.) All of a sudden everything goes dark and quiet and at the same time we both said "Uh oh, that's not good." I guess you had to be there. Anyhow, I made this card by candlelight. Fun stuff. October afternoon papers, PTI/SU/Memory Box cardstocks, Papertrey stamp sets and even some tiny twinkles on the corner swirls. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there:) Yes, I'm gaining my inspiration from the weather. But check it out...everything but the bling has been sitting unused in my stash for ages! I took a scrap piece of cardstock and covered it with adhesive and layered on the BasicGrey scraps. Then I dug out some more of those Heidi Swapp acetate snowflakes, added the sentiment from PTI's Snowfall set and some Webster's ribbon and it was mostly finished. (I almost cried when I cut that ribbon.) Here's hoping that the snowstorm moving in this afternoon doesn't drop the additional 18 - 20 inches of snow that the weather people are forecasting:) Or if it does, here's hoping that the timing of the storm means that I'm back home before it starts and that the school office is closed for the entire rest of the week! *fingers crossed* Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there:) For me, this card pretty much says it all. We still have two feet of snow outside and guess what's in the forecast for tomorrow night through Wednesday? Uh huh. The weather people say another 1 - 2 feet. FEET! Seriously. Yes. Seriously. How is it that my Loonie girls - all of them Canadian - don't have as much snow as I do living in Delaware?!?!
